The MYP hosted the weekly Stations of the Cross gathering at Holy Trinity Church in Whitestone, NY on Friday, March 6, 2026. We partnered with the HT 8th Grade Religious Education class. Diana Roach (who is the 8th Grade catechist) rectored the event, with help from MYP Team Member Dina DePaola.
The goal for the evening was to present a youth centered Stations of the Cross, with the teens from both groups reading each station and carrying the cross to each station. Musical assistance was provided by the HT Leader of Song, Michael Zabrocki. Michael was extremely supportive of the approach and provided beautiful music during the service.
This youth led Stations of the Cross has been an annual offering from the MYP—and has proven to be a great way to help strength the Lenten journeys of our teens.
