The 21st Annual MYP Coffeehouse was held at St. Mel’s Church on Saturday, February 26, 2011. The event is an annual fundraiser to support the program. This year, the added goal was to raise money to subsidize costs for our Teen Retreat (that will take place April 15-17, 2011, at St. Josaphat’s Retreat House in Glen Cove, NY). The Coffeehouse was fun & spirited, with performances from teens Marilu Capobianco, Andy Krauland, Hannah D’Arcy, Elena Byrne & Ryna Runko. New Team Member Ed Tracey provided great singing & humor. Team members Ben Fabrizi, Rich Krauland, Katie Hurtubise, the McComiskey Trio (Gary, Jennifer & Megan) & MYP friend, Alysoun Roach, provided entertaining performances as well. The MYP Band (Marty Weinbaum, Vanessa Yanelli, & Chris Pizzolo) were fantastic! Of course, the food & drink enhanced the experience. The event was rectored & hosted by Tom Leavens & Laurie Hallick. The event raised well over $1,500.00 from patrons & raffles. Thanks to all for such a great event!!!
