On January 24, 2025, the MYP held their annual MovieNight event at Holy Trinity Church in Whitestone, NY. The film, “The Boys in the Boat,” was shown to our teens & Team. The event was rectored by Diana Roach, and the Team working the event were Cathy Bischoff-Weinbaum, Kerin Carty-Kriegsman, Dina DePaola, John Fodera, Eileen Haggerty & Megan McComiskey.
Following the movie, the teens packed items that they were asked to bring for a drive sponsored by Glendale Kiwanis. These items will be donated to soldiers , and included toiletries, socks & T-shirts.
The event concluded with a Prayer Service focused on the gospel, “Many Members Make Up One Body (1 Corinthians 12: 4-12, 24-31). Teens were reminded that (like the theme of the movie) each person must work together in unity and concert in order for the body to be effective and whole.
