On Friday, October 18, 2024, the MYP held their annual GameNight at Holy Trinity Church in Whitestone, NY. The teens participated in games that included Catholic themes, as well as a concluding Prayer Service. The event was rectored by Diana Roach, and the Team Members were Jean Bena Pedri, Cathy Bischoff Weinbaum, Dina DePaola, John Fodera, Kerin Carty Kriegsman, Mary Leavens, Tom Leavens & Sarah Pavon. The teens participated in a Minute To Win It Icebreaker (face the Cookie was a favorite), followed by games of Pictionary, Incoherent and 25 Words or Less.
The teens were asked to create Thanksgiving cards for A Million Thanks, an organization that sends letters to the military. The event concluded with a Prayer Service.
GameNight is always a successful event for the MYP, as the teens have a great time competing. This year, the service project & the Prayer Service were touching.
