On Friday, October 23, 2015, the MYP hosted a new event, Called For Duty Day, at Holy Trinity Church in Whitestone, NY. The event rectors were Diana Roach & Cathy Weinbaum. The event challenged our teens to compare their own impressions of poverty, racism and addiction in the world with the realities of each (presented in words & photos). It was a very powerful evening, with personal discussions followed by opportunities to pray & reflect. The hope is that the teens look at these issues from all sides and be moved to action & prayer.
